1970-1972 - WHO'S GONNA MISS

Who's gonna miss the flowers when they don't come up again?
Who's gonna miss the beauty of their glow?
Who's gonna wonder why we haven't seen them?
Who's gonna care and who is gonna know?

Who's gonna miss the sunshine of a August day?
Who's gonna miss the warmth it always brings?
Who's gonna care when clear blue skies have gone to gray?
Who's gonna care when birds no loner sing?

Flowers, sun and clear blue skies are what make life worthwhile.
The world around us hurts our eyes and makes us lose our smiles.
But still, the more we hear goes in and out each ear.
We never want to know when we've been wrong.
And my one, greatest fear is that in some coming year
we'll kill ourselves, and it might not be long.

Who's gonna miss the forest and the open air?
Who's gonna mind the grass not being green?
Who's gonna miss the animals of everywhere?
Who's gonna miss the once so lovely scenes?

Who's gonna miss the ocean and its once abundent fish?
Who's gonna mind the water standing still?
Who's gonna offer more than just a shallow wish?
Who's gonna notice? We will, yes, we will.

Who's gonna notice? We will, yes, we will.
